Earlham Baking Co. is a home-based studio nestled in Earlham, Iowa. While I love my small-town roots, I am a proud partner to the Greater Des Moines metro, providing custom cakes and professional delivery to venues throughout the city and surrounding suburbs.

As a boutique, home-based studio, I operate by appointment only. This allows me to dedicate my full attention to each custom creation

Requests for orders can be made through the website or by email. I will get back to you within 48 hours to confirm availability and discuss additional details. I will then send you an invoice via email for payment and secure a date in our calendar.

At the latest, I recommend contacting me 3-4 weeks before your event date to get your order scheduled in my book, but the sooner the better. Around the holidays, I often need more lead time, but it never hurts to ask about a last-minute order to see if I can accommodate you.

Because I only accept a limited number of orders each week, payment in full is required to finalize your booking. This ensures that your spot is protected and allows me to focus entirely on your custom creation!

Should your plans change, I offer a full refund with 30 days’ notice. If you need to cancel within 14 days of your event, a 50% refund will be issued.

At this time, I do not offer allergy-friendly baked goods. Because I operate out of a home-based kitchen that handles flour, dairy, and nuts, I cannot guaranteed an environment free of cross-contamination. The safety of my clients is my top priority.

To respect the work of other artists and brands, I do not replicate copyrighted images or licensed characters without written consent from the owner. However, I love getting creative! I can design a custom cake using inspired color palettes, textures, and decorative elements that perfectly complement your theme while remaining a unique Earlham Baking Co. original.

I love seeing your inspiration photos! They are a wonderful way for me to understand your vision, color palette, and style. However, out of respect for the original artists and my own creative process, I do not provide exact replicas. Instead, I will use your reference images to design a bespoke masterpiece that is uniquely yours while staying true to the "essence" of your inspiration.

I love capturing the beauty of every creation! I photograph all my work for my professional portfolio and may share these images on my website and social media to showcase my latest designs. If your event is a surprise, please let me know so I can wait until after the "big reveal" to post!
